Why I’m A Proud UC-METC Student

Engaging to school or university involves a lot of criteria. If the said educational institution can meet your expectations as well as you also do towards them.  We have so much to dwell before we can choose the best of all. But if you’re a critic enough to analyze it easily, don’t be too confident. For entering such can change your views in life. It is by how the said institution can influence you.

In this point of time, when I decided to take up Bachelor of Science and Marine Transportation (BSMT) in University of Cebu-Maritime Educational Training System (UC-METC) located at along Alumnos St., Brgy. Mambaling. after graduating high school leaves me nothing to doubt things. I never had regrets after all. They provide me better knowledge and trainings among other schools. Atty. Go the owner of this university has been very responsible in creating such productive individuals. For this school I am with now for almost one year is the best maritime school in Cebu City. A lot of well-known companies makes partnership agreement with us here in UC-METC. Just like MAERSK, INC, NSA, BSM, and many more.

Being one of the students enrolled in this university I am indeed proud to be a UCnian. By the said opportunity above knowing that a lot of companies are into with our school I am motivated to more in my studies and be the best I can. To be an Able-bodied-seaman someday and will be promoted as captain in the near future. Just like Captain Arnel Malaga one of our instructor here in our school. Somehow, someday Captain Alex Lewis Arriesgado will still acknowledge this institution. For without UC-METC I can’t build my own dream.

Why Rodrigo Duterte will be My 2016 Philippine President

At this moment, the presidency election is very quite approaching. Who will be the best one to be chosen? A lot of different persons are falling in line to be the president of our country. But on some cases how would the people determine the most deserving of all? By that, everybody must consider some pointers or criteria in picking up the right person.It’s not that we’re being perfectionist but somewhat we’re doing this to provide the best for our own nation. For setting standards will surely help our country to soar high and will be able to compete globally by such.The said specification doesn’t include money or how rich our soon-to-be-president is. For today’s time, vote buying is so rampant and we’re convincing everyone not to deal with it.The money from vote buying can’t lift you from poverty. Only by choosing the deserving, trustworthy, and right leader can assure you better living.Choosing a president we must consider that he/she has plans that every people agree, need and want. That each of us can gain, get and have what we need through that plans of the chosen president. That each of us will be satisfied, obtained and prevailed of the agreement of the plans that the president said. That each of us will be happy, proud and glad through the wants that given by the president through his word.

Presidency is indeed a very high position, though it shoulders a great and big responsibilities to the nation and to its people. Choosing my president for 2016 presidency election was so tough for me but at last I end up favoring Mr. Duterte.It’s because of his ruling in Davao City as mayor says it all. We all know how discipline people living in that place. Even crimes are so often to happened there. Everybody were all responsible for their obligations as citizen of their city. No one is motivated to do bad things and crimes for they are all aware of the consequences and penalties they’re going to face after all.  A well trained , disciplined, and responsible citizens are what our country needs us to be ,like the people of Davao under Duterte’s rules.I choose Duterte for my new president to be elected cause i know he has plans for a better living in the Philippines through stopping the drugs, crimes and corruptions of our nation.Some people might be against Duterte by his kind of ruling system, one example is by killing people who commits crime. Yes, they say it’s too harsh to kill someone by just one wrong move done. But it’s one way of telling people that we are all rational. We already know how to determine bad or good deeds. So by this, it explains that it really depends in our choice of acts to be taken as a human being, a living creature with intellects.So much by that, we both are in need of the development and improvement towards our surrounding right? So why questioned Duterte’s course of action, if we think it’s effective in upbringing peace and safety from crime, minimizing harm from accidents, enriching our economy from graft and corruptions and making Philippines better from before. I do believe his the key of the change we all need for our country and for ourselves.

However, the only hope our country is holding now is the democracy of the people responsible living on it. So much to say but words are not enough to utter nor shout them out. We need to value, appreciate, and treasure the free decision to vote. That’s why we should be wise,prudent, and smart  in deciding whom to vote for. In order for us to end up a good and deserving leader for our society.

My English 2 Experience

Everyone have got to experience things they may like and they may not. Experience are those unexpected events come to your life without any hint or clue. And when this semester started, I never knew I will be able to experience English with the description of writing in the discipline. I can say it really challenge me to overcome my fear in writing essays and poems. Indeed, its hard for a man to express his ideas and feelings by this.

To listen, to write, to think and to read are just some basic ingredients in making such activities in this course. Encountering English 2 is really exhausted cause our adviser gives so much assignments just to keep us busy. In fact, we all know that we have no choice but to follow , accept and work for the task they assigned for us. For he’s only doing this for our own good because he know that all this stress, pressures and hard-works will lead us to success. Examples of those are publishing an article in which it requires idea, knowledge, time and interest. This is for us to know how to write an article, use proper grammar and words and publish story. Anything you like can be applied as long as you relate it to your work. Just like my hobby I tend to write a poem about it because I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be easy if you have interest on the chosen topic. For you don’t need to look for ideas, to search for the right words, and to brainstorm for informations in order to start it. From the lessons we tackled I was able to know the four types of sentence, the declarative, interrogative, Imperative and exclamatory. The kind of sentence according to structure the simple sentence, compound sentence, complex sentence, and compound-complex sentence. The last lesson we cover is the parallelism. Wherein we are able to know the parallelism of a sentence through a parallel words, parallel phrases, and parallel clauses. I was not able to pass one assignment. When i try to comply our instructor and tend to pass it even I know it’s too late, he still didn’t accept it for it doesn’t show the date of post. Whats worst is that it’s the basis of our midterm exam, in other words I don’t have score for major exam in midterm.By this rejection ,I am motivated next time to surely pay attention to my instructor and take notes in times when he will give some requirements to guide us.

So many things happen to me after enrolling this subject. But all I can say is that everything I’ve work for it is worth it. You asked why? Simply cause I learned, gained, and benefited experiences anyone can’t stole from me. Conflicts may come in the way to discourage,give up and stop you from making your way to fulfill your wants in life. Instead treat them as your inspiration, motivation and qualification in making your dreams come true.

Her

A girl who's rude and bad,
Maybe you too would not be glad.

It started with teasing,
Never realize its her i'm missing.
Never realize its her i'm liking,
Never realize its her i'm loving.

I've tried to keep myself busy,
Not to mention its not that easy.
When you knew you also felt something,
And still insist to act like nothing.

Until time comes I found out,
There's someone new she is about.
It brought me pain,
Is this what I gain?

So I pretend that to her i'm done,
Trying to make this feeling none.
And I think it's working,
But still I feel something is lacking.

My eyes demands me to look for her, 
For her absence seems a day so blur.
My subconscious tells me to glance,
To the truth and give it some chance.

She answered "YES" from my question,
Here She goes happy with inspiration.
So do I, been overwhelmed and want to melt,
From this so much happiness that I felt.

After a long way form the past,
Its her i want to be the last.
I've waited for this so long,
And now to her i only belong.

 

My Sinulog Experience

The Sinulog festival is one of the grandest, most distinguished and most colorful festivals in the Philippines. The major festival is held each year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu (since in the Catholic faith Jesus is not a saint, but God). It is fundamentally a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people’s pagan past and their recognition of Christianity.

My Sinulog experience was one of the most exhausted day of my life, because I am one of the member of ROTC  which our purpose is to control people from avoiding accident, stamped and Etc. We wake up early for us to be ready for our duty to went to fuente for it is the place we are assign. There are so many people there that we cannot even stop them crossing the rope. I didn’t feel hot I think it is because of the parade that it is so amazing. Many celebrities join the parade.

Attending sinulog is so tired but it has also lots of fun because of the events. I haven’t seen the presentation in abellana because of the people that is so many. Also I am still on duty until 7:00 pm, but it is okay cause I saw the parade. I haven’t spend my sinulog in all my friends because of the ROTC. I’m just standing at side of the road holding the rope.

Many tourist has came in the sinulog. Many people from other country celebrating. Many people came from other place of the Philippines, like in the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Many people also was not able to came for they have no enough money to celebrate. Many people also are busy that have no time to celebrate I cebu.

There were no jeep in the street. People occupy all the space in the road. so many crowd laughing. So many crowd Shouting. So many crowd are dancing with the music of the sinulog or the music of the parade.

People are busy in drinking alcoholic drinks. People are busy in painting or making tattoo. people are busy taking pictures of the dancers. people are busy clapping, waving there hand in the celebrities. People are busy sealing there product.

There are people collapse. There are people fight I think because they are stress. There are people are just finding true love. There are people are just showing there cuteness to other people to show attraction  to other. There people so curious of what the do.

I wasn’t able to take pictures during sinulog because my phone was dead battery. So I miss the opportunity taking pictures to my idols like Coco Martin, Richard and also Onyuk. It was my first time seeing my idols in personal. It was my first time Joining the ROTC. It was my first time Celebrating the Sinulog.

After the ROTC I immediately went to my room in the dormitory of UC. I walk From fuento to Mambaling, because there is no jeep and taxi to ride. My knee is so weak. I am so weak. Also my body want to lay down.

When i arrive to my room I sleep for only 2 hours. I dressed up and ready for party. When I arrive to the mango I saw my friends in there dancing like there is no tomorrow. I was so happy dancing with my friends. I was amaze of the Sinulog because it is so really Awesome that you will never regret it. Prititit… Viva PIT SEñOR ST. NIñO

 

All About This Blog

I am Alex Lewis D. Arriesgado. I am 18 years of age. I am from Poblacion Tabango Leyte. I live in Alumnos, Mambaling Cebu City. I am studying in the University of Cebu METC taking the course BSMT. I am now First year student. I have only 1 sister and we are only 4 in our family.

The purpose of this blog is to post or published an opinion, also you can share your ideas, your knowledge and on what you what you learn. It is also help you to gain knowledge by reading other user published. We can use our knowledge by publishing an article on this site, the wordpress. WordPress is amazing because you can post, publish or etc. because it free for users.

Like I, student in the University of Cebu – METC. Reading other people story that they published for me to understand the process or procedure on how to make a story by your own. Also I have a subject titled Writing in the Discipline that will relate all about of this blog. I’m very thankful of my instructor for he teach us on how to use English grammatically that we can use it by publishing or post an article in wordpress.

For what  i understand you must put a Title that must be short and sweet. Put and introduction because it is the best impression by a reader. Then a body which to write the main story or subject . Last is the conclusion, make it short, summarize the story and you can also ask a question at the end.
